Microblading is a permanent makeup procedure which involves using a handheld tool with a fine blade to create hair-like strokes on the brow line to create the appearance of fuller, and thicker eyebrows.
The pigment is deposited into the upper layer of the skin, called the epidermis. The color of the pigment will appear darker immediately after the procedure but will fade during the healing process. Touch-up appointments are necessary to maintain the desired shape and colour of the brows.
Microblading can last anywhere from one to three years depending on the individual's skin type, aftercare, and lifestyle.
It is also important to note that microblading is not suitable for everyone, such as those with oily skin types. It is important to disclose if you have any medical conditions or if you are taking any medication that could affect the healing process.
OMBRE BROWS AND POWDER BROWS

The ombre and powder eyebrows techniques are created using the machine shading method. Machine shading is a semi-permanent procedure, which involves the use of a machine that has an ultra-fine needle to create the appearance of fuller, thicker eyebrows on the brow line where hair may be missing or sparse. The way that this is achieved is by depositing pigment into the skin using a dotting technique, which is layered over the skin to achieve a full look (which can also create a “powdery” look depending on how many times you layer the dots). Unlike a tattoo, the pigment is only deposited into the upper layers of skin which is why it is semi-permanent and softly fades over time.

COMBINATION BROWS

The combination brows technique is one of the most popular semi-permanent eyebrow techniques, as it is very versatile and can look either dramatic or natural depending on the look a client wants to achieve. It involves both the microblading technique, and machine shading technique. Some clients will opt to have their eyebrows mostly microbladed with added machine shading for better pigment retention, while others may want most of their eyebrow shape filled in with machine shading while adding some microblading to the front of their eyebrows. This is something that will be discussed at the start of the client's appointment so we can achieve the look that the client is going for!
